Privacy policy

Chip Away doesn't collect any personal data. The developer can't see anything you log.

What the app stores

The sessions you log (date, type, hours and an optional note), your goals, and the name and title you choose. They are stored on your device.

iCloud

If you're signed in to iCloud, the app syncs this data through your private iCloud account, so it appears on your other devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Apple holds that data under its own privacy policy. It sits in your account's private database, which the developer has no access to. Without iCloud, nothing leaves your device.

What the app doesn't do

• No accounts or sign-in
• No analytics, ads or tracking
• No servers run by the developer
• No sharing or selling of data

Import and export

When you import a spreadsheet, the app reads the file on your device. When you export, it writes a CSV file that you choose where to send. Neither passes through the developer.

Deleting your data

Delete sessions one at a time, or use Settings ▸ Erase all sessions. That removes them from every device on your iCloud. Deleting the app removes its data from the device.

Children

The app collects nothing from anyone, children included.
